Jingles have been with us for a long time, and some of them have been so unforgettable that years later, we still remember them. Oscar Meyer
Created in 1965, the Oscar Meyer jingle is one of the most remembered jingles of all time. If you know the words “Oh, I wish I were an Oscar Meyer wiener…” then you’ve been exposed to this popular jingle at some point in your life. Dr. Pepper
“I’m a Pepper, He’s a Pepper, She’s a Pepper, too.” Dr. Pepper launched this jingle in 1977, and countless people today still remember wanting to break out in song every time they see a can of the soda. Coca Cola
When Coca Cola hired a jingle writer to compose this tune, they likely never imagined that people would actually be calling radio stations across the country to request that it be played on the air. Although a slightly altered version of the jingle was later recorded as a song (I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing), originally it was simply a jingle for commercial that took off like a rocket. “I’d Like to Buy the World a Coke,” put Coca Cola on the map in a way that no other advertising could have.
